Hutch By Design Event.

In Personal Style, Fashion on October 1, 2012 at 4:14 AM

On Thursday night, I attended the Hutch by Design Red Carpet event at the $3 Dollar Tavern. Sounds contradictory right?!? Well that’s what made the night an epic one. We all got right on three dollar drinks all night. We had so much fun!! Sean was busy for most of the night, and Billy has other ratchet pics of him and I.

Residential Rant!!

In Its all in my mind! on August 11, 2012 at 1:15 AM

So.. I’ve been on the apartment search in NYC for quite a bit and it has been a roller coaster ride. A Horrible one at that! The Real estate agents are thee absolute worse! (i guess that what I get for using craigslist!) It’s like they are finding out the information about the apartment at the  same time you are.. A lot of them are very unorganized, not punctual and being that the weather is so humid, it makes everything that much worse!! Lord Knows!! Today I went to see a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, (I know it’s only me but I insist on having an in home design studio) and the agent was late, anddd she didn’t know all of the specifics! 😦 I basically left work early for no reason because It turned out to be one of those apartments where you have to make a certain amount and I made wayy to much just by myself :(. She found this out the same time I did and all she had to say was O Sorry. O well sighhhh the search continues…

Money, Money, Coin, Coin, Guap

In Its all in my mind! on May 2, 2012 at 12:37 AM

On Sunday afternoon, while moving my design studio back to Brooklyn w the help of my boyfriend, I was listening to one of the motivational speeches that he often makes me listen to with him.

The person speaking was David Pietsch. (And let me tell you) That man knows exactly what he is speaking about. I felt as if he was speaking directly to only me through the speakers. He was reconfirming everything that goes on in this busy mind of mine as far as the current education system and finances are concerned.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was his reference to T.Harv Eker’s book. “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering The Inner Game of Wealth”. This book seeks to differentiate the way individuals (rich and poor) process their interaction with Money.

He was kind enough to give 17 Monetary thought comparisons between the rich and the poor.

I thought these were extremely interesting as well as amazingly accurate, And I was happy to evaluate myself according to this list. I was also delighted to find that I had more in common with the “Wealthy” thought process. And I look forward to in the near future, eliminating the few “poor” thought processes from my psyche.

For your convenience and full understanding, I have provided the list beneath.
Please do Enjoy! You can also evaluate your own thought process.

  1. Wealthy people believe, “I create my life.” Poor people believe, “Life happens to me.”
  2. Wealthy people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.
  3. Wealthy people are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be rich.
  4. Wealthy people think big. Poor people think small.
  5. Wealthy people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on obstacles.
  6. Wealthy people admire other rich and successful people. Poor people resent rich and successful people.
  7. Wealthy people associate with positive, successful people. Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.
  8. Wealthy people are willing to promote themselves and their value. Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.
  9. Wealthy people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are smaller than their problems.
  10. Wealthy people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor receivers.
  11. Wealthy people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people choose to get paid based on time.
  12. Wealthy people think “both”. Poor people think “either/or”.
  13. Wealthy people focus on their net worth. Poor people focus on their working income.
  14. Wealthy people manage their money well. Poor people mismanage their money well.
  15. Wealthy people have their money work hard for them. Poor people work hard for their money.
  16. Wealthy people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.
  17. Wealthy people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.
