Out with my Loves <3 !!

Last week I had an awesome night out w a few of my aces! Ahhhh the life of well.. Me! I haven’t yet found a category for myself! (don’t think I ever will though). Soo we decided to attend the billboard blowout, before heading out to a night in the city. It was a really nice experience..I somehow after being bold ended up on some sites..(which if I could find them i would post the links) But it was a great night all in all. (ehemm)

I couldn’t find anything to wear! I absolutely despise when this happens. Ever since I was little my aunt would tell me if I had one outfit, then I’d def know what I was wearing lol! Thank God I’ve always been blessed and CREATIVE!I found these cute leopard print shorts that I had sewn a while ago and a denim cutoff jacket that I had altered ions ago.. so I paired these two, which had absolutely nothing to do with each other, swung my dreads over to one side and I was on my way! FUCK iT!

 

Swizz Beatz killed his performance, and he even Brought Estelle, who I absolutely love! and she looked dope as F*&% too! LMFAO performed my fav Shufflin! Where we ended up after is a secret. shhhhh! (deserves a post all by itself) It was a good night all in all.

Phunky Phiona

My friend Phiona has a lovely sense of style! She’s totally a Jacket enthusiast! (lover of all things Jackety). Jackets or Blazers can be found in different cuts, colors, crops, you name it! They are “magically” able to take an outfit from 1 to 10 in a flash, but They also have different price ranges which can also go from 1 to 10 in a flash ($-$$$$$$). However it is always a great thing to have a few of these pieces in your closet.

Anywhoo! Phiona totally slayed in this funky get up! Her ability to throw things together and make it look well thought out is what I really admire, being an advocate of fashion myself. But I take forever and a day to get an outfit together! (I’m so indecisive, Ughhh). Before she left to go into the wilderness (camping in NJ) I was able to catch up with her and she was kind enough to share what she wore on the night of one of our random escapades.

Mussels and MUHSINAH!

Sooo the other night I attended the most amazing dinner party performance with two of my lovelies Will and Phiona!! (whose outfit deserves an entirely different post, because darling! she gave me life) We had such a blast!

It was in the Villiage at this dimly lit venue called Affaire. They had an open bar, where i lovingly splurged on Gin and juice, (mmmmmmm) and we had dinner. They had these awesomely delightful mussels!! In different flavors which were One of the highlights of my night, because i obviously love to eat!. The flavors were Parmesan and marinara, white wine, and Curry! Yumm. Well seasoned, well prepared, yessss! Pure mussely perfection.

The performance was by Grammy nominated, urban/suburban artist Muhsinah! (thanks William now i’m just addicted) I just cant have enough of her sound!
Her music literally transports you to another place…

It was as if we were in a sound chamber, in awe of some musical alien ruler, because her entire performance was so captivatingly trance like that she even wondered if she was playing in the “chamber” alone. Her voice….O so Breathtakingly beautiful. She performed a cover of Scatterbrain by Radiohead, Use somebody by Kings of Leon, and a few songs off of her addictive Gone EP. Seeing her live was so inspiring! Sigh.. I just love Art! Her fingers were making love to the piano, her voice wrapped around that love and Billy was surely engrossed in singing backup!! (Which he was extremely proud of) Lol.

She was also very sweet and interactive. You know… One of those artists that genuinely cares about their fans. She actually spent time with us and took a few pics.

Can’t wait to see her perform again! And I am also excited to see how she grows as an artist!
